After a given time (t), the input selector switch 5 is connected to an input terminal 1 again, and audio signal is recorded on the magnetic tape 8. The pilot signal is detected at a detection section 12 and frequencies are detected at a frequency detection section 13, the output signal of which is input to a tape speed detection section 14 to control the rotating speed of a capstan drive motor 17 by a tape speed set section 15 and a capstan drive motor control section 16.
