Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure the recording of a detecting signal even when the recording has been initiated at the part of a leader tape, by reproducing and detecting a detecting signal which has been recorded, with a reproducing head, and controlling its recording time when an operation for recording a detecting signal has been performed. CONSTITUTION:When a detecting signal which is different depending on presence or absence of noise reducing circuits 5, 6 is recorded in a tape, and the presence or absense of the circuits 5, 6 is detected by detecting said signal, a recording time of the detecting signal is set by providing ocillating circuits 44, 51 for the detecting signal, switches 36, 37 which are changed over at the time of recording the detecting signal, and a controlling circuit containing a flip-flop 18 which makes a recording operation state by said switches, and one-shot multivibrators 19, 20, 30, and by controlling the controlling circuit by a reproduction detecting signal of a reproducing head 25. Accordingly, even when a tape recorder is in a temporary stop state or in a recording operation state, the detection signal recording operation can be executed exactly by turning at operating switch 15 on.
