Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable general water supply of a battery group, by providing a trailing cylinder and a liquid-level regulating cylinder which are extending from the top surface of a lid, providing a water supply part over the trailing cylinder, and providing a gas exhaustion hole in the upper part of the liquid-level regulating cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A trailing cylinder 5, which is integrated with a lid 2, extends from the top surface of the lid 2 to near the upper end of an element 3. A water supply part 6, which has a water supply hole 7 connected to the cylinder 5 as well as piping holes 8 used for water supply piping and provided on both sides of the part 6, is provided over the top of the cylinder 5. A part of the lid 2 other than the part provided with the cylinder 5, is provided and integrated with a liquid-level regulating cylinder 10 extending from the top surface of the lid 2 to the highest liquid level of an electrolyte 4 contained in a battery. A gas exhaustion hole 11 is provided in the upper part of the side surface of the cylinder 10. A cylindrical body 12 is provided over the cylinder 10, and is integrated with the lid 2. A hole 13 is provided in the side surface of the body 12. A gas exhaustion part 15, which has an explosion-proof filter 14 and is connected to the hole 13, is provided above the lid 2.
