Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent decomposition of water in a tank by providing a water level regulating valve which controls the water level in the tank at an arbitrary height depending upon the change of buoyance occurring in a buoy and enabling storage of water depending upon the amount of water used.
CONSTITUTION: To control the water level in a tank 1 at a low water level, a stop valve 10 is closed and an air pump 13 is actuated. When the inner part of a buoy 7 is filled with air, the buoyance of the buoy 7 is increased. When the water level in a tank 1 reaches the low water level indicated by H.W.L, the buoy 7 floats. Then a valve body 5 makes contact with a valve seat 4 through a lever 6 and the water supply to the tank 1 is stopped. To control the water level at a high water level, the air pump 13 is stopped and the stop valve 10 is opened. The air in the buoy 7 is removed from an air extracting hole 8, the lower part of the air extracting hole 8 is filled with water, and the buoyance is decreased. When the water level reaches the high water level indicated by H.W.L, the buoy 7 is raised. As a result, the valve body 5 makes contact with the valve seat 4 and the water supply to the tank 1 is stopped.
