Abstract

PURPOSE:To make diffusion of electrolyte better by providing a board for dividing the battery jar into two; the upper chamber and the lower chamber, and providing a tube extending to almost the bottom of the storage battery, a tube projecting to the board and a tube extending to the upper part of the element on the board. CONSTITUTION:A board 6 provided with straight walls extending up and down at adjacent parts to the inner wall of a battery jar 1 and the outer wall of a pole is set between element 3 for a storage battery and a lid 2, thereby to divide substantially the storage battery into two chambers; i.e. the upper chamber and the lower chamber. The plate 6 is provided with a tube 8 hanging down to almost the bottom of the storage battery, a tube 9 standing on the board 6 and a tube 10 extending down to about the upper edge of the element 3. The upper side and the lower side of the plate 6 are connected through the tubes 8, 9 and 10.
