Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent a heat collecting plate from being heated excessively by a method wherein a sunlight penetrating film is provided between the heat collecting pipe and a glass cover and when water is circulated through the heat collector, the sunlight penetrating film is thermally expanded due to the heat of the abnormally overheated heat collecting plate at the time when no water is supplied to a heat collecting pipe, so that the sunlight penetrating film becomes loosened to thereby increase the amount of heat radiating from the heat collecting plate.
CONSTITUTION: The sunlight penetrating film 7 made of a flexible material is interposed between the heat collecting plate 1 and the glass cover 5 to provide an upper heat insulating layer 9 and a lower heat insulating 10. When no water is supplied to the heat collecting pipe 2, the heat collecting plate 1 is overheated abnormally and the sunlight penetrating film 7 is also heated to expand and then to become loosened so that it hangs down and comes into contact with the upper surface of the heat collecting plate 1. As a result, the convection preventive effect of the heat collecting plate 1 due to the existence of the upper and the lower heat insulating air layers 9 and 10 is reduced and the radiation of heat from the heat collecting plate 1 is increased, thereby the elevation of temperature of the plate 1 is controled.
