Abstract

PURPOSE: To utilize solar energy as a source of an air heater, a transparent barrier plate is provided outside the roof with air layer therebetween so that air in the air layer route can be heated by solar energy.
CONSTITUTION: Solar energy heats the roof material 5 and the radiation fins 14 through the transparent barrier plate 20. Cool air is supplied from the air pipe 36, passed through the distributor chamber 34, and heated by exchanging heat with the roof material 5 and the radiator fins 14. The heated air is collected at the collector chamber 35 and sent through the air pipe 37 for use as an air heater.
