Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:Phosphonic derivatives of formula I [R2, R6, R7 are H, 1W3C alkyl, phenyl; y is 1W3C alkyl, -COOR3, -COR4 (R3, R4 are 1W3C alkyl)].
EXAMPLE: N - Methoxycarbonylmethyl- N -methoxycarbonylaminomethanephosphonic diethyl ester.
USE: Herbicide and its intermediate: the hydrolysis of these compounds readily gives N-phosphonomethylglycine.
PREPARATION: The reaction between an aminoacid derivative of formula I (R1 is 1W3C alkyl) and phosphorous acid or its derviative of formula III (R8 is 1W3C alkyl, phenyl) affords the compound of formula I. The reaction operations are very simple, pollution-causing reagents are not used as starting materials and the reaction conditions are mild to give the product in high yield. The compound of formula II is obtained from the compound of formula IV.
