Abstract
PURPOSE:To extend a circuit part economically, by connecting power sources independent of one another to respective signal processing circuit parts of parallel operation and making a discriminating circuit part, which checks respective circuit parts, common to them and supplying power to circuit parts independently of each other. CONSTITUTION:Signal processing circuits 26 and 27 through which information is transmitted and received between a disc unit 25 and input/output controllers 23 and 24 controlled by CPUs 21 and 22 receive power from respective private power sources 37 and 38 through diodes 39 and 40 to perform prescribed functions. It is checked by a discriminating circuit part 28, which is fed from power sources 37 and 38 through diodes 41 and 42 and is provided in common, whether said functions are operated normally or not. If, for example, the power source 37 is turned off during this operation, a CPU21 accesses the unit 25 through the device 23 and the circuit part 27 by the cross call. The circuit part 27 is operated by the circuit part 28 which is fed from the power source 38 through the diode 42. Thus, when a signal processing circuit is extended, it is unnecessary to provide the circuit part 28 each time.
