Abstract
PURPOSE:To smoothly drain helium gas generated in the coil section without providing special tubing by a method wherein a receiving tube with a specified length is provided within a connection pipe connecting an inner tank of a superconduction magnet with a helium tank and this receiving pipe and helium intake tubes are connected in an integral manner. CONSTITUTION:An inner tank 1 for superconduction magnet use of a super- conduction magnet is connected with a helium tank 3 accumulating liquid helium 5 via a connection pipe 4, and helium intake tubes 10A and 10B are provided within helium tank 3 and inner tank 1, respectively. Further, a receiving tube 10C of a specified length is provided inside the connection pipe 4. This receiving tube 10C and intake tube 10A for inner tank 1 are connected as one unit, and also intake tube 10A for helium tank 3 is inserted to receiving tube 10C. Taking the gap 4B of insertion at 0.5mm. to 2mm., the length of insertion is set at 30 to 100mm.. With this structure, or without special piping, helium gas generated in the coil section is smoothly drained to simplify a configuration of the cooling tank structure.
