Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent sticking of a toner to a metallic toner and blur in the circumferential edge part of a toner image to obtain a sharp fixed image, by fixing the reversal-developed toner image to a recording material with pressure after removing electric charge by exposure of overall exposure. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic image is formed on a photoconductor by charging and exposure and is reversal-developed. The surface of this recording material is exposed overall. This overall exposure is performed in such degree that the photoconductor is exposed to light and electric charge in the latent image part is removed through the photoconductor layer, and for the purpose of giving this effect, flash exposure is performed or exposure due to white light is performed for a certain time. The recording material is allowed to pass between press rolls to fix the toner image with pressure after overall exposure, thereby obtaining a fixed image which is very sharp in comparison with a fixed image fixed without overall exposure.
