Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a heat resistant alloy with enhanced strength, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance at high temp. by restricting the contents of C, Si, Mn, Cr, Ni and Ti and/or Mo in an alloy composition.
CONSTITUTION: This heat resistant alloy consists of, by weight, ≤0.2% C, ≤2.0% Si, ≤2.0% Mn, 31W40% Cr, 35W45% Ni, 0.01W1.0% Ti and/or 0.05W5% Mo, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. This aloy having said composition has superior strength at high temp. equal to or higher than that of a conventional Co alloy and much superior corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, and it can be manufactured at a low cost. Accordingly, this alloy can be used to manufacture the skid rails of a heating furnace for iron manufacture used in severe environment at about 1,200W1,350°C and parts of a diffuser for a boiler, etc.
