Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a characteristic inspection of a heat pipe in a short period, by obtaining relevance between a heated location and a temperature increasing rate of each part of a heat pipe by heating a part of a heat collecting part. CONSTITUTION:Temperature increasing rates of temperature measuring parts 8, 9 and 10 are obtained by heating a heating part A with a heat source 6. In this instance, when a location 6' of the heating part is heated only a temperature of a temperature measuring part 8' is increased and no temperature rise is occurring at temperature measuring parts 9 and 10. When height of the heating part is lowered to a location 6'', heating of a working liquid 3 is occurred and the heating part where the temperature rise at a temperature measuring part 8'' is little and the temperature rise at temperature measuring parts 8 and 9 is occurring is observed. It is assumed that this part corresponds to a liquid level of the working liquid 3. Then, the mixing-in of noncondensible gas is assumed to exist when a temperature difference between the upper and the lower temperature measuring edges 9 and 10 of a condenser part C is large. In this manner, characteristic inspection of a gravity type heat pipe can be performed in a short period.
