Abstract

PURPOSE: To promote heat radiation from cooling liquid by bringing a heat pipe in close contact to the surface of a closed container across the upper and lower portions thereof to level the temperature distribution between the upper and lower portions of the container.
CONSTITUTION: A heat pipe 23 is brought in close relation to the surface of a closed container 1 across the upper and lower portions of the container 1. Further, the heat pipe 23 may be brought in close contact to the inner surface of the container 1 or to both inner and outer surfaces. Thus, as the temperature of cooling liquid 22 rises, the temperature of the lower portion of the container 1 becomes higher than that of the upper portion, while heat exchange between the upper and lower portions of the container 1 is promoted by the action of heat pipes 23, 24 to level the temperature distribution in the container 1. Thus, as the temperature of the lower portion of the container 1 is lowered, the temperature of cooling liquid 22 received in the bottom of the container is lowered to promote heat radiation.
