Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently perform the treatment of waste fermentation gas and the acceleration of fermentation, by arranging a neutralizing part for raw waste matter, an aerobic fermenting part for neutralized sludge and a deodorizing part for deodorizing the waste fermentation gas in a catalyst combustion process.
CONSTITUTION: Raw dewatered cake is thrown and accumulated through a feed line 1 into a neutralizing part 2', where the cake is neutralized at a pH level below 10, and then thrown through a transfer line 3' into a fermenting vat 4, where the cake is aerobically fermented and converted into compost. Carbonic acid gas, steam, ammonia and other trace malodorous components are generated by fermentation in the fermenting vat. Waste fermentation gas containing those components is let flow through an exhaust duct 11, introduced through a gas- introducing opening 16 into a catalytic oxidizing part 15, and deodorized. When a noble metal catalyst is used for the catalyst oxidation, a combustion temperature is controlled at 200W300°C.
