Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to cool the titled bearings efficiently by a simple structure by a method wherein a number of grooves influencing an atmospheric fluid are formed in the surface of the rotatable section of each of the bearings so that the fluid is transferred through the grooves. CONSTITUTION:A number of helical grooves 16 are formed in the inner peripheral surface of an inner ring 11 holding balls 13 in cooperation with an outer ring 12 of each of the bearings in such a manner that the grooves 16 are press- fitted in each of steps 19 formed at the upper and lower parts of a housing 18 fixed to both of the outer rings 12 of the bearings. With the above structure, when a rotary shaft 17 is press-fitted in the inner rings 11, the inner rings 11 rotate with the rotation of the shaft 17 and the atmospheric fluid flows in the direction of the arrow 20 or 21. Consequently, the bearings are cooled through the inner rings, as a result, the shaft 17 and the housing 18 can be made of a material having a low heat transmission efficiency.
