Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive to prevent the thermal conduction as well as to suppress the generation of heat at bearing itself for the subject device by a method wherein an air passage is provided inside a bearing cover and cooling air is flown from the ventilating hole provided inside a shaft and is circulated in the air passage of a bearing cover. CONSTITUTION:A bearing bracket 24 is fixed on the bearing 20 and the inside of the bearing 20 is covered by an inner bearing cover 28. The inner bearing cover 28 is formed in double structure in such manner that an air pocket 42, to be used as an air passage, is provided inside the bearing cover. Also, on the shaft 16 which is supported by the bearing 20, an air passage 38 is formed in axial direction from the end section of the outer fan 34 to the point corresponding to the bearing cover 28. At the deepest section of the air passage 38, a penetrated hole 40 is formed in a radiant direction and, at the same time, a penetrated hole 44 is provided on the bearing cover 28 conforming to the penetrated hole 40. Through these procedures, the cooled air is circulated around the bearing 20 and the cooling effect for the subject device can be increased.
