Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the number of materials needed for an angular contact type ball bearing and facilitate assembly and replacement of its parts by unifying the inner ring and the ball, the outer ring and the ball or both the rings and the ball nonseparably.
CONSTITUTION: An inner ring 7 is formed so that the nearly smallest diameter part of a circular arc-shaped raceway surface 11 formed on its outside cylindrical surface is on the end face, and an outer ring 8 is also formed so that the nearly largest diameter portion of a raceway surface 12 formed on its inside cylindrical surface is on the end face. With the open side of their raceway surfaces 11 and 12 toward the center, the inner and outer rings 7 and 8 are placed diagonally facing each other to sandwich a ball 9. A cage 10 is bent. In its horizontal surface 10' a pocket 13 having a diameter smaller than that of the ball 9 is formed and a vertical side 10" is made to interfere in the inner ring 7 so that the ball 9 and the inner ring 7 are unified nonseparably through the cage 10. The outer ring 8 is allowed to be separable. Thereby, because the inner ring 7 and the ball 9 are nonseparable, assembly can be performed simply by mounting the outer ring 8 to the inner ring 7 and replacement of parts can be also facilitated.
