Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the bearing capable of displaying a stabilized function througout a long period, by preventing a generation of level difference part in the slide contact surfaces made by a chamfered part in poor work precision and in a flange part of inner and outer race.
CONSTITUTION: In a conical roller bearing, comprising an inner race 1, an outer race 2, conical roller 3 rollably arranged circumferentially between the both inner and outer race 1, 2, and a holder 4 for circumferentially holding said conical roller 3 with an equal distance apart, in the inner race 1 is formed a flange part 1a for preventing the conical roller 3 from shifting toward the direction of axis to go out, and at an intersecting position between inner side face of said flange part 1a and orbital face 1d of the inner race 1 is constructed a relief 1b of almost semicircular shaped section for the process of grinding work. However, a chamfered part 3a of axial end part of the conical roller 3 is so constructed that the side edge of its axial end face side may be situated inside an opening end edge of the above described relief 1b, simultaneously a recessed part in the roller end face is so constructed that its circumferential edge may be positioned in the orbital face 1d side from a chamfered part 1c of the flange part 1a.
