Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the cooling efficiency of a rotary machine by providing a cooling fin of the rotary machine having a heat pipe inbuilt, with vent holes penetrating in the axial direction and blades mounted at the periphery.
CONSTITUTION: The cooling fin assembly 10 is composed of a hollow cylindrical sleeve 12 situated in the middle and two or more disc-shaped fins 14 fixed on the sleeve 12 with a certain spacing in the axial direction. Each fin 14 has vent holes 16 arranged with a certain spacing in the circumferential direction, to form air passages penetrating the fin assembly 10. Two or more blades 18 are provided between two adjacent of these fins 14 with a constant spacing in the circumferential direction. A cooling fin assembly of such a constitution shall be incorporated into radiator part of a heat pipe 30 designed to cool a rotary machine.
