Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the cooling efficiency of the rotor and the stator of a motor by providing fins at the end with a rotor shaft as a heat pipe, forming a vent hole axially passing through a stator and exhausting cooling air through the fins. CONSTITUTION:A rotor shaft 3 is formed in a hollow shape to form a heat pipe, and circular disc-shaped radiating fins 23 are mounted at the extending end. A plurality of vent holes 21 axially passing through a stator 17 are formed at the stator 17. A cooling fan 25 is mounted on a case 9 at the radial outside of the fins 23, and a wall 27 is formed between the motor section and the radiating fin section. A small gap 27a is formed between the fan 25 and the case of opposite side at the wall 27, so that the cooling air inflowed from the holes 21 passes from the small gap 27a through the fins 23 to the fan 25.
