Abstract

PURPOSE: To satisfactory cool the heat generated and eliminate the need of a slanting hole for lubricating a thrust bearing by forming a lubricant supply channel to let the lubricant flow to a floating bush in the direction of axis.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of lubricant supply holes 16 are installed to a ring 7 adjacent to a thrust bearing 5 in the circumferential direction and almost at equal spaces. Each lubricant supply hole is bored at a position facing a clearance G between the body 5A of the thrust bearing 5 and a movable ring 5B so as to supply a lubricant satisfactorily into the interior of the thrust bearing 5. On the other hand, a plurality of lubrican supply holes 17 are installed to a floating bush 4 in a circumferential direction and almost at equal spaces. These lubricant holes are designed to connect a peripheral ring-shaped groove 9 to a side surface 4A. With this construction, the amount of lubricant to be supplied to the periphery of the floating bush 4 is increased so that an effective cooling capacity as well as a response capacity to he revolution of the floating to a shaft 2 can be improved.
