Abstract
PURPOSE:To quickly find a defective position of an external device by finding a point at which the status of a process I/O signal has never been changed during the period from an optional timing to the reference of monitoring data. CONSTITUTION:An input signal IS1 from an external device is outputted to a CPU through an AND circuit 3 by a process I/O address signal AD outputted synchronously with the input of the signal IS1. Simultaneously with the output of signal IS1, an AND circuit 2 is connected by the timing of a clock phi, so that the signal IS1 is inputted to an input data storing element 7. An exlusive OR circuit 5 output monitoring data KD. When the status of the signal IS1 is changed and a monitoring data storing device 6 inputs a logical value ''1'' as the monitoring data KD, the status is self-held by an OR circuit 4. The contents of the monitoring data storing element 6 are sent to the CPU through an AND circuit.
