Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a condenser capable of guiding light to an optical fiber efficiently by coupling a photopolymerizing material with the tip part of the optical fiber, achieving photopolymerization while causing light to enter the optical fiber from the rear end, and fixing the photopolymerizing material. CONSTITUTION:A photopolymerizing material 3 is coupled with the tip part 2 of an optical fiber 1. The read end part 4 of the optical fiber 1 fixed by a holder 5 is irradiated with a beam 7 of ultraviolet rays from an N2 laser oscillator 6 through a lens system 8, and the beam guided in a core part 9 is emitted through the photopolymerizing material 3. Photopolymerizing substances in the photopolymerizing material 3 cause photopolymerization and when the refractive index increases, the photopolymerizing material is fixed to fix the refractive index. Thus, a condenser capable of guiding light to the optical fiber 1 efficiently is obtained.
