Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress the heat generation of optical fibers by putting a filter which absorbs infrared rays at the terminal of a light guide. CONSTITUTION:A light guide 3 having a fiber bundle 6 and a filter fixing means 11 are fixed to a light guide terminal fixing means 7 which consists of a large diameter part 8 and a small diameter part 9 and is provided with a light guide insertion hole 10. Such a filter F which absorbs only the infrared rays longer in wavelength than about 0.7mu is fixed to the inside of the means 11. It is also possible to use a rod lens made of a material having the same characteristics in lieu of the filter F in order to permit efficient incidence of light to the light guide 3.
