Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase productivity and to reduce manufacturing costs by a method wherein the external circumference of a coil wound on a split iron core is armored by a tape impregnating heat-cured synthetic resin in a substrate and foaming resin is filled in the gap between the iron core around a split section and the tape. CONSTITUTION:The terminal section 3a of a prepreg tape 3 is wound by meeting with the split section 1c of an iron core and the end section of the secondary coil 2 is wound by separating from the split end of the iron core by about 10mm. to provide a gap 2a and an iron core insulating material, the prepreg tape 3, and foaming resin sheet 6 having adhesiveness are wound in the gap 2a. In applying heating cure to the tape 3, the gap 2a is hermetically sealed by foaming 6a the sheet 6. A heat fomaing member may be heated and foamed by injecting foaming urethane or epoxy resin. In this composition, the molded metal mold is unnecessary to simplify work andto reduce costs. The exfoliation and cracks of an armor insulator can be prevented by moderate buffer action by foaming resin.
