Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate an unnecessary higher interference light without a color filter, by constituting the intermediate layer of an interference filter with a color dielectric. CONSTITUTION:A light-sensitive element 2 such as a photodiode is formed in the surface part of a silicon substrate 1. An interference filter 3 is formed on the said element 2 by lamination. In this interference filter 3, an intermediate layer 5 consisting of a color dielectric is interposed between metallic thin films 4a and 4b consisting of Al, Ag, etc. By constituting the intermediate layer 5 with the color dielectric in this manner, the transmission wavelength characteristic of the interference filter 3 becomes a desired characteristic with a higher peak wavelength eliminated.
