Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to form a commutating inverter device having a simple circuit, by providing a commutating circuit comprising thyristors and reactors to an inverter for each of phases in common. CONSTITUTION:Between wires P and N of a DC power source, inverters 7-1, 7-2 and 7-3 are connected, together with a reactor 3-1, thyristors 4-1 and 4-2 and a reactor 3-2, which are connected in series, forming a commutating circuit used for said inverters in common. Moreover, a capacitor 5 is connected between the connecting point of the thyristors 4-1 and 4-2 and that of thyristors 4-3 and 4-4 of the inverter 7-1. In addition, the inverters 7-2 and 7-3 are formed in the similar manner to the inverter 7-1, and the inverters deliver outputs to AC buses respectively. By thus making the commutating circuit common to all the inverters, it is possible to form a commutating inverter having a simple circuit.
