Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a multiplex inverter of simple circuit construction, compact size and low cost, by coupling phase reactors between the DC input terminals of inverters to suppress the fluctuation in a current due to the DC voltage difference between the inverters.
CONSTITUTION: Phase reactors 12, 13 are coupled between the DC input terminals of a first and a second current-type inverters 4, 9 to suppress the fluctuation in a current due to a DC voltage difference. DC reactors 3, 6 are connected to the middle points of the phase reactors 12, 13. The inverters 4, 9 are so controlled that the inverter 4 leads by 30°, for example, to the other 9. Although the fluctuation in the current due to the DC voltage difference between the inverters 4, 9 can be suppressed by the phase reactors 12, 13, the pulsation in the current due to the DC voltage difference between a converter 2 and the inverter 4 or 9 cannot be suppressed by the phase reactors. To suppress the pulsation in the current, the DC reactors 3, 6 are connected to the phase reactors. This results in simplifying the circuit construction and reducing the size.
