Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible to compensate the primary unbalanced moment in a vertical or horizontal direction, by mounting forward rotating fly-wheels to opposite ends of a shaft, mounting a reversely rotating fly-wheel to each forward fly-wheel, and providing each fly-wheel with a counter-weight.
CONSTITUTION: In a case where the present apparatus is applied to a Diesel engine with four cylinders, the two forward rotating fly-wheels 4, 5 are mounted to the opposite ends of a crank shaft 3, and forward rotating gears 6, 7 are arranged to the outer sides of the fly-wheels 4, 5 respectively. The reversely rotating fly-wheels 8, 9 are coaxially arranged on the outsides, and reversely rotating gears 10, 11 are arranged inside thereof. Bevel gears 12a, 12b, and 14a, 14b are arranged between the rotating gears 6 and 10, and 7 and 11, and the counter weights 15, 16 and 17, 18 for forward and reverse rotation are attached to the fly-wheels 4, 5 and 8, 9. Thus the desired purpose can be effectively attained.
