Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively utilize the space in an engine by a method wherein a balancer shaft positioned under the engine above the lubricating oil surface in the oil pan and moreover its bearing is provided to the bearing cap. CONSTITUTION:In parallel with a crankshaft 1 the balancer shafts 2, 3 are provided with a driven gear 7, which is provided to the crankshaft 1, the driven gears 8, 9 which are provided with the balancer shafts 2, 3, are interlocked, whereby the balancer shafts 2, 3 are interlocked in the same direction each other and in the opposit direction to the crankshaft 1 and with the same speed to the crankshaft. Said balancer shafts 2, 3 are provided with the eccentric deadweights 10, 11 which nigate the primary vibromotive caused by the reciprocating mass. Consequently, the lower-positioned balancer shaft 3 is arranged in the position close by the prolongation of the line connecting the shaft center of the cylinder 4 and the center of the crankshaft 1 and above the surface of the lubricating oil 6 in the oil tank 5.
