Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for minimizing vibration of engine, which comprises a couple of shafts disposed on the opposite sides of the crank shaft for rotation in the same direction as the crank shaft and balance weights respectively connected to the balance shafts with a phase difference of 180 degrees, whereby it is enabled to attenuate rolling of the engine body. CONSTITUTION:A couple of balance shafts 3a, 3b are both turned in the same direction as crank shaft 2 with rotation of the crank shaft 2. At the same time, balance weights 4a, 4b on respective balance shafts 3a, 3b are turned around respective balance shafts with a phase difference of 180 degrees. By the vectors produced in opposite directions by the rotation of balance weights 4a, 4b, internal moment causing rolling of engine 1 can be cancelled so that rolling of engine 1 can be attenuated.
