Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a welding rod which is excellent in erosion resistance, is hard to be weld-cracked by low yield strength being less than 18-8 stainless steel, and excellent in workability, by providing the covering of a specific composition on a core wire which has specified Mn of Ni-Cr steel and has added Mo, Nb and Co. CONSTITUTION:A core wire is composed by containing 1 kind or more of <=0.2 C, <=2 Si, 10-20 Cr, 0.5-10.2 Ni, <=20 Mn, <=2 Mo, 0.01-0.1 Nb and 0.5-5 Co, in wt%, respectively, and Fe substantially as the remainder. On the surface of this core wire, covering containing 35-45 CaCO3, 20-35 CaF2, and 5-30 total quantity of a deoxidizing agent and a binder, in wt%, respectively, is provided. In this case, CaCO3 functions mainly for shielding the open air due to CO2 generated by a slag generating action and welding heat, requires the lower limit or above, and harms an arc phenomenon in case of excess. CaF2 is gasified easily by welding heat, shields the open air of globules, its effect is insufficient in case of the lower limit or below, and its workability is harmed in case of excess. In case when a total of the deoxidizing agent and the binder is the lower limit or below, its action is insufficient, and in the event of excess, the workability is harmed.
