Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the weld zone of high stress corrosion resistance, intergranular corrosion resistance and toughness by specifying the composition of a wire used at the time of arc-welding titled stainless steels in an inert gas atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:The wire used for TIG welding of titled stainless steels is an austenitic stainless steel composiging <=0.016% C+N based on weight (hereafter the same), 10-45% Ni, 1.00-1.50 times as much as the content of Mo in base metals and 0.75-7.50% Mo, 0.90-1.20 times as much as the content of Cr in the base metals and 22.5-36.0% Cr, and the residual Fe and unavoidable impurities.
