Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent generation of blowholes in welding stainless steel containing much Cr by using an austenite stainless steel wire containing little Al, B and oxygen. CONSTITUTION:In MIG welding of stainless steel containing much Cr, an austenite stainless steel wire having the following composition is used as a welding wire: 14-28% Cr, 7.5-87% Ni, <2.5% Mn, <1.0% Si, <0.15% C, <=0.01% sum of Al and B as impurities, <=200ppm oxygen. Or, >=1 kinds of 0.5-4.0% Mo, 0.04- 0.22% Ti, 0.06-0.2% Nb are further added to improve the stability of arc and strengthen prevention of generation of blowholes still more.
