Abstract
PURPOSE:To allow a welding wire to contain oxygen to improve the tenacity and workability, by limiting components of the TIG welding wire and specifying one or more kinds of components of Ni, Cr, and Ti. CONSTITUTION:A high tension steel is welded by a wire consisting of 0.04- 0.12wt% C, 0.20-0.70wt% si, 1.0-2.20wt% Mn, 0.2-1.5wt% Mo, 0.0150- 0.0320wt% wt% O, one or more selected from >=4wt% Ni, >=3wt% Cr, and >=0.2wt% Ti, and the rest Fe and impurity. In respect to reasons to limit components, C is added extra because partial C is lost by special addition of oxygen. Si and Mn are added to deoxidize free oxygen. Ni, Cr, and Ti are added to obtain the tenacity.
