1447667 Stainless steel welding flux TSUKISHIMA KIKAI CO Ltd 12 Sept 1973 [13 Nov 1972] 42839/73 HeadingC7M [Also in Division B3] A flux-cored wire for electrogas welding of austenitic stainless steel comprises a coating of mild or stainless steel hoop, and a flux containing by weight:- CaF 2 5-20% Fe-Si (40% Si) 1-20% SiO 2 1-5% CaCO 3 1-6% Cr 30-70% Ni 5-40% Fe 0-70% Mn 1-20% In addition the flux may contain 1-25% Fe-Nb, (containing >60% Nb, plus Ta), 3-30% Mo, 5-30% Cu or any of Ti, Nb, Ta, Ca-Si or rare earth metals.
