Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance resistance to the property of softening due to annealing while enjoying low cost by utilizing complex effect of combined addition of small amount of Si, Cu and Ni.
CONSTITUTION: A steel consists in wt% of C: 0.08W0.21%, Si: 0.1W0.8%, Mn: 0.3W1.5%, P<0.015%, S<0.01%, Cu: 0.1W0.5%, Ni: 0.1W0.5%, Cr: 0.5W6%, Mo: 0.4W1.2%, sol Al: 0.003W0.08%, and the remaining Fe. The steel of this composition allows combined effect of minor amount of Si, Cu and Ni to precipitate fine Mo2C-type carbide in high density and thus results in enhanced resistance to annealing-induced softening property.
