Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable stable and accurate analysis by providing a aerosol processing unit having a cyclone, a mixing part and a distributor and thereby separating the removal of coarse particles and the flow rate of gas to a discharge chamber and a light-emitting source from each other. CONSTITUTION:The particles of sample m from a sample-gasifying discharge part S are diluted and carried by a gas such as argon and reach a cyclone C through a mixing part M of an aerosol processing unit, which has a coaxial double structure and into which an argon gas flows separately from an argon gas for carriage so as to conduct cleansing or the like of a sample atomizing light source L of a light-emitting source. The coarse particles are separated centrifugally by tangential acceleration, drifted in the direction of the outer tube Cb of the cyclone C and dropped to be removed. Meanwhile, fine particles are lifted through an inner tube Ci and supplied to the light source L via the center pipe Cm of a distributor, while aerosol taken out of the outer tube Cb is exhausted via the exhaust pipe of the distributor. By this constitution wherein the removal of the coarse particles and the flow rate of gas to a discharge chamber and the light-emitting source can be separated from each other, a solid aerosol producing apparatus enabling stable and accurate analysis is obtained.
