Abstract

1513909 Separating solids from gas K ANDRASFALVY 10 July 1975 [12 July 1974] 28988/75 Heading BIT In an apparatus for separating powder from air the gas is sucked through openings 16 and channel 10 into section 2 and then through separator 8 comprising a plurality of sheets, to exhaust chamber 22 which contains a moveable nozzle arrangement for supplying compressed air to clean the separator 8. The channel 10 is sub divided by baffles (not shown) into compartments in each of which is located a valve such as 14a. The baffles extend down to sieve means 12 for classifying separated solids, there being means (not shown) for vibrating the sieve means.
