Abstract
1,090,947. Cleaning cyclone separators. SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN A.B. March 30, 1965 [March 31, 1964], No. 13517/65. Heading B2P. In a dust separator, Fig. 3, cyclones 12 are mounted in superposed relationship in spaced vertical rows in a gas-conveying channel 17 with their clean-gas outlets 18 connected to apertures in a partition 6 extending across the channel and with their dust outlets 19 directed towards the dust-laden gas inlet side of the channel. The dust outlets 19 are provided with axially displaceable spiral-like cleaning devices 20 and are connected to a vertical outlet duct 4 provided for each row of cylones. Each duct, composed of a number of elements each connected to a cyclone, is provided with a cleaning device 1 axially displaceable in the duct and consisting of scrapers 2. Figs. 1 and 2, the number of which corresponds to the number of cyclones in each vertical row. The scrapers are made as pairs of wire bows secured to a vertical rod 3. Each bow has an upper horizontal arch-shaped portion corresponding to the radius of the outlet duct 4 and merging into a vertical portion, the lower end of which is arch shaped and similarly corresponds to the radius of the outlet duct 4. The devices 1 are reciprocated by means of links 14 pivotally secured at 13 to the upper ends of the devices and operable by means of a solenoid 15 under the control of a timer 16.
