Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent splashes of zinc in the stage of controlling a coating weight by gas wiping by discharging a sealing gas into a sealing box from the upper part of gas wiping nozzles. CONSTITUTION:A plating machine including gas wiping nozzles 6 is installed over a plating bath 5 in a box 9 sealed with an inert gas. Inert gas discharge ports 7 are provided on the upper side of the nozzles 6. An inert gas for sealing is discharged through the ports 7 to prevent the splashing of zinc. Sticking of the splashes on a strip 2 and the damaging of the surfaces of the strip 2 are prevented.
