CONSTITUTION:In single-side plating of a steel sheet 1 coated on the surface not to be plated with deposition-inhibiting agent 9 by dipping in molten plating metal 7, a gas such as air is sprayed to the line of intersection of bath surface and the steel sheet over whole breadth of the steel sheet as shown by an arrow from a gas-spraying machine installed on the side of the surface not to be plated. That is, the gas collides at a flow speed (v) to the top of the metal lifted by the roughness of the deposition-inhibiting agent, hereby a force P shown by P av<2> (a is a constant) is applied to the top A so as to push down the top A. Hence the molten plating metal liable to be lifted hardly adheres to the surface of deposition-inhibiting agent.
