Abstract
PURPOSE:To finish hot dipping finely and to easily control the amount of stuck metal by attaching a labyrinth seal device to the outlet of an airtight chamber provided with a coating roll partially immersed in a hot dipping bath in the hot dipping tank and deflector rolls and setting opposite nozzles for controlling the amount of stuck metal at the outside of the chamber along the hot dipped material line. CONSTITUTION:A chamber 11 made airtight with a seal mechanism 12 and a tight seal device 13 is internally provided with a coating roll 16 partially immersed in a hot dipping bath and deflector rolls 17, 18, and opposing nozzles 14 for controlling the amount of stuck metal are set at the outlet side of the device 13. A roll cover 20 covering the whole upper surface of the roll 18 is placed between the device 13 and the roll 18 so as to prevent the contamination of the roll 18 due to inevitable Zn splash caused by the nozzles 14. Accordingly, the internal atmosphere of the chamber is kept well, and the amount of stuck Zn is controlled by means of the nozzles 14.
