Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a Zn-Al compositely plated steel sheet with superior corrosion resistance and coat adhesion by spraying Al on Zn stuck to a steel sheet by galvanizing when the Zn is at a molten state to metallurgically bind Zn and Al together. CONSTITUTION:In the continuous system molten Zn galvanizing line, Zn is stuck to the surfaces of steel sheet 7 in galvanizing bath vessel 3, and Al is sprayed on the surface of the stuck Zn at a molten state with Al sprayers 4 placed at the outlet side of vessel 3. At this time, the line is arranged so that the temp. of Zn stuck to the surfaces of sheet 7 is not dropped to the solidification temp. of Zn or below. The thickness of the Zn coat is adjusted to about 1-50mu, and that of the Al coat to about 0.1-100mu. By this method a Zn-Al compositely plated steel sheet with superior corrosion resistance and adhesion is obtd.
