Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve temperature measurement even under the high potential and strong inductive interference environment, by locating a thermal inflatable body on a base for temperature measurement and measuring the amount of reflection through the irradiation to said body in use with an optical system using an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:A temperature sensor 1 is fitted to an electric equipment E to be measured for temperatue and is surrounded with a base 2 and a case 3. A light from a light source is introduced to an optical fiber tap 8 via an optical fiber 6A and to a detector 10A through a convergent rod lens and an original optical output I0 is detected with a detection and operating device 11A. On the other hand, the light reflected on a half mirror at the end of the lens 9 is introduced to the case 3 via an optical fiber B and given to a thermal inflatable body 4B and projected to a thermal expansion body 4A with different thermal expansion factor opposing to the 4B with a slight clearance. The reflected light is returned to the fiber 6B and to a detector 10B, and the reflected output intensity I can be calculated with a detection and operation device 11B. From the ratio of the intensity I to the I0, the temperature of the base 2 can be calculated.
