Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease the number of component parts and to reduce the cost for a system discriminating circuit for two TV signals having different frame frequencies, by switching the two circuit states of an automatic dscriminating circuit by switching the inverse and non-inverse actions of a logical circuit. CONSTITUTION:The vertical pulse 1 given from a vertical synchronizing and separating circuit is turned into a signal 10 to be discriminated through a delaying circuit 3. A horizontal pulse 2 sent from a horizontal oscillating circuit is supplied to a counter 4. Whether the frame frequency being 50Hz or 60Hz is discriminated by the fact that a flip-flop 8 is set or not and by the output Q7 obtained by counting down the pulse 2 to 1/64 from a moment when a pulse is delayed by 6ms through a monostable 3 when the signal 10 has 50Hz frame frequency and the output Q8 obtained by counting down the output Q7 to 1/2. The malfunction preventing function works to the noise mixing when the decision is given to whether the frame frequency is 50Hz or 60Hz in accordance with the ON or OFF of a switch 12. A capacitor 17 functions to prevent the spark.
