Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the flowing of plating metal round to edges stably and surely by blowing a high pressure gas to both edge parts of a non-plated surface before the plating metal stuck on one surface of a steel strip solidifies. CONSTITUTION:Devices 2 for removing plating metal flowing round to edges consisting of plural pieces of high pressure gas injection nozzles 21 are provided on the non-plated surface S1 of a steel strip S. Nozzles 21 of around 45 deg. spray angle theta are mounted to L-shaped conduits 22 and are disposed at approximately equal intervals along both edge parts of the surface S1. The air or inert gas such as gaseous Ar or gaseous N2 of a high pressure to be blown through the nozzles 21 is blown into both edge parts of the surface S1, whereby the flowing of the molten plating metal round to the edges is prevented.
