Abstract
PURPOSE:To preform effective cooling in cooling high-temp. steel plate, while being conveyed, with cooling-water sprayed to the upper and lower sides of the plate, by making the upper side nozzles, whose angle of inclination is controllable, incline in lateral direction of the steel plate. CONSTITUTION:Steel plate 5 to be cooled is conveyed on a conveying rools 2. At the upper and lower sides of the steel plate 5 are arranged plural nozzles for spraying cooling-water in the advancing direction of the steel plate 5 in plural lines. Each nozzle 6-1 of each line at the upper side of the steel plate 5 inclines in the laterial direction of the steel plate 5 with an angle of inclination theta which is controllable. theta is pref. controllable in the range of 10-80 deg.. Water sprayed from the nozzles 6-1 cools the steel plate 5 and, at the same time,removes the water remained on the plate, so that cooling with the succeeding sprayed water is effected efficiently and uniformly.
