Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten an ink heating time in a low temperature environment by increasing a flow rate of ink supplied to an ink injection head at the time of starting printing and returning the flow rate to an ordinary value when the ink reaches the prescribed temperature. CONSTITUTION:Ink in an ink tank 1 is pressurized by an ink pressure pump 3, and is supplied through an ink heater 7 to an ink injection head 10. An ink drain tube 11 is connected to the heat 10, an ink temperature detector 12 is arranged in the course, and a leaf valve 11 is arranged at the downstream side. Since ink temperature is low at the starting time, the flow rate of the ink is increased by the operations of the detector 12, a pressure pump controller 14 and a pressure pump 3. Thus, the temperature and the pressure in the head 10 are abruptly raised, but the pressure in the head 10 can be maintained constantly by the operation of the valve 13. When the ink reaches the prescribed temperature, the heater 7 and the pump 3 are returned to their ordinary operations.
